He was predeceased by : his daughter Mandy; his sisters, Fran and Kathy; and his parents, Gordon Fairbairn and Bertha Fairbairn.

He is survived by : his children, Glenda (Tobin), April and Brad; his sister Diane Reid (John) of Vernon, B. C.; and his brother-in-law Richard Towle of Paudash. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
