He is survived by : his mother Edna Armstrong (Fletcher); his siblings, Barry (Shirley) of Peterborough, Brian (Wendy) of Bala, David (late Rietta) of Fenelon Falls, Jo-Ann Armstrong (Wayne Ashton) of Bancroft, Michael of Carlow, Paul (Cindy) of Oshawa, Sandra of Bancroft and Lana of Bancroft; and his pet Trouble. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.

James Musat wrote a sympathy message

“Hello, my name is James Musat. I was a co-worker and friend of Neil’s. Due to my severe drug addiction I was not a very good friend to Neil despite him treating me like a brother. I got clean/sober in 2009 and tried to get a hold of Neil. I finally did but due to Covid we were unable to meet. I want to send my sincere condolences to the family. I know he’s enjoying a cold one up there.”
