With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Philip John Clarence Exton (Bancroft, Ontario), who passed away on November 13, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Philip Exton and Isabelle Turner. He is survived by : his wife Wilma Exton (Rutledge) of Bancroft; his son Joseph Garnsey (Christy) of Michigan; his grandchildren, Jessica, Donald and Saxon; his great grandchildren, Tatam and Mason; his stepchildren, Jarrett Switzer (Dannielle) of Bancroft and Jamie Switzer (Lisa) of Barrie; his grandchildren, Kurtis, Willow and Hazel; and his sister Noreen of Hanover, Ontario.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

Phil's family welcome donations to the Heart & Stroke fund or Alzheimer's society.

“Phil to us was always known as Uncle Phil. He was a great guy and always willing to help us out, When we lived in Bancroft he always came and looked after our lawn, as well as at our cottage, We visited him a few times in Westgate and he seemed to have settled in. Same he took sick. Best wishes to Wilma”
