We are sad to announce that on May 25, 2022, at the age of 98, Walter Verner Meitz of Bancroft, Ontario, born in Pembroke, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his wife Toni (Audrey); his children, Penny and Walter; his son-in-law Gord Blair; and his parents, Albert Rudolph Meitz and Wilhelmina Matilda Witt.

He is survived by : his daughters, Patricia-Anne Smies (Age) of Fowler's Corners, Marilyn Meitz (Ron Richards) of Stirling and Marie Blair of Ajax; his grandchildren, Aage (Kathleen), Willem, Michelle (Shane), Leona (Darren), Andrew (Kim), Adam, Stuart and David (Danielle); and his great grandchildren, Christopher, Nico, Karlie, Ryan, Bryce, Ethan, Emily, Spencer, Hunter, Nathan and Lennon.

Due to COVID-19, strict visitation and service restrictions will be in place - Face masks are requested to be worn.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, CARE North Hastings or Hospice North Hastings would be appreciated by the family.
