He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hendrikus Mattheus and Johanna Schouten; his wife Odette Marijtje (Gijzen); his children, Gregory (Shawna), Rachel (Mark) and Kevin (Jacqueline); his siblings, Adrian (Jannie), Huib (Trudy), Fietje (Gunter) and Marga (Willem); and his sibling-in-law Ilonca Gijzen. He was also cherished by Papa any of his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Barrie Humane Society would be a great tribute to Ben's love for animals.
