He was predeceased by: his parent Dean Carleton. He is survived by: his mother Lynda Carleton; his daughters, Claire and Sophie; the parent of his children Sandy; his siblings, Clint (Becki), Stefanie and Amy; his nephew Aidan; and his nieces, Colleen, Abby and Megan. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins; and the countless friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home (445 St Vincent St, Barrie, ON L4M6T5). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
Throughout his accomplished career with the Barrie Police Service, Brett was involved in numerous milestone investigations and earned recognition and awards for his outstanding contributions to law enforcement.
