It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Leonard Surgenor (Barrie, Ontario), who passed away on May 6, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Surgenor and Leonard Surgenor; and his sisters, Ruth Bylow (Gordy), Millie Bylow and Joyce Howell (Larry).
He is survived by: his wife Joy Speers; his children, John (Tammy), Glenn (Carole) and Melanie (Donald); and his siblings, Mary Foster (Jim), Judy Lehay (Tom) and Robert Surgenor (Kathy). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home (30 Worsley St, Barrie, ON L4M1L4). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
