He was predeceased by : his former wife Margaret MacLeod; his parents, Phillip MacLeod and Irene MacLeod; and his step-father Howard Smallridge. He is survived by : his wife Liz MacLeod; his children, Robert Sr. MacLeod (Caroline) and Shawna MacLeod; his grandchildren, Robert Jr., Alexander, Heather and David; his great grandchildren, Benjamin and Mason; and his brother Gord (Helen). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 29th 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St George's Anglican Church (9 Granville St, Barrie, ON L4N3K1). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 29th 2022 at 2:00 PM at the St. George's Anglican Church (9 Granville St, Barrie, ON L4N3K1).
