He was predeceased by: his siblings, Lloyd, Russell, Ralph, Leo, Bill, Gerald, Eileen, Ed, Jean and Jim; and his parents, Adelbert Smith and Laura Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Darlene Smith; his children, Brian Smith (Neisha), Elaine Rebidoux (Mike), Colleen Gignac, Bruce Smith (April MacLean), Susanne Hawthorne (Dave) and Jason Smith (Jenn); his grandchildren, Justin, Rachel, Brandon, Brett, Ashley, Mitchell, Jared, Daniel, Nicholas, Mason and Teegan; his great grandchildren, Danica, Theo, Maya and Emery; and his siblings, George, Raymond, Joyce, Gord, Marg, Donna, Helen and Bob. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
