He was predeceased by: his mother Lona Gail McBoyle; his uncles, John McBoyle and Dennis Crisp; and his aunt Effie McBoyle. He is survived by: his wife Mara Smith; his father Stewart McBoyle; his aunt Maggie Crisp; his cousins, Lynne McBoyle, Kathryn Crisp (Kat) and Kimberley Crisp; Christopher Chagnon.
