In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Gord; and her parents, Daniel and Minnie. She is survived by: her son Douglas (Nancy Wilson); her grandchildren, Caroline and Alexander; and her nephews, David Birch (Mary) and Rick Birch (Lex).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you toast Irene, on a day of your choosing, with a Rum & Pepsi at 4:00pm—a ritual Irene held for many years.
