Though John may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca (Kevin) and Thomas (Amanda); his granddaughter Elyse; his mother Jean; his brother Jim (Joanne); and his niece Shannon.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home Worsley Street Chapel, Barrie Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home Worsley Street Chapel (30 Worsley St, Barrie, ON L4M1L4). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home (30 Worsley St, Barrie, ON L4M1L4). A reception was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home Worsley Street Chapel, Barrie Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home Worsley Street Chapel (30 Worsley St, Barrie, ON L4M1L4). A burial was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Glendale Memorial Gardens.
