He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wingate and Leona Wingate.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 30th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, January 31st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home (30 Worsley St, Barrie, ON L4M1L4). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home Worsley Street Chapel, Barrie Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home Worsley Street Chapel (30 Worsley St, Barrie, ON L4M1L4). A reception was held on Saturday, January 31st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 31st 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Glendale Memorial Gardens.
