Julia Maartje Adams Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julia Maartje Adams (Barrie, Ontario), who passed away on November 20, 2025, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Julia departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Julia may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Julia leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her father Binke Meyer. She is survived by: her husband Steve Adams; her children, Avery and Carter; her mother Elisabeth Meyer; and her siblings, Lisa Wallis (Jeff Wallis), Chris Meyer (Eva Meyer) and Blake Meyer (Becky Meyer). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home (445 St Vincent St, Barrie, ON L4M6T5). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations to hospice Simcoe would be much appreciated.
