He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelis Klaas VanderVeen and Albertje Kobes; his grandmother Leopoldine Brouwer; his siblings, Rinke (Sonya), Jacob, Tjitse (Jim), Andries (Andy), Jeltje (Jill) and Iemkje (Alida); and his daughter Karen Abegail.
He is survived by: his daughter Lani Melinda; and his siblings, Christiaan (Ann) and Rinske (Hans). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Eden Hall (282 Hurst Dr, Barrie, ON L4N0Z3).
