Leona Mae Covell Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leona Mae Covell (Barrie, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 9, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Leona shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Leona farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Nana; her children, Deborah Fletcher, Pamela McIntyre (Bruce McIntyre) and Scott Covell (Françoise Archambault); her grandchildren, Kelsey, Lauren (Jonny Crew), Emma, Quinn and Jack; and her father Toronto.

In lieu of flowers, please honour mom's memory by baking or cooking for someone in need, supporting your local food bank and thinking of mom kneading her dough and surprising us with a freshly baked pie!
