She was predeceased by: her daughter Connie Giguère (Eric); her parents, Gasper Aceti and Fina Aceti; her parent-in-law Ido; her brother John Aceti (Laurie); and her sibling's child Christy.

She is survived by: her husband Anthony Donato; her children, Eddie Donato (Cathy Emerson) and David Donato (Andrea); her grandchildren, Olive, Norah, Deacon, Linah, Abbygael and Mathéo; her mother-in-law Concetta Donato (Eleanor); her sister Rita Francella (Frank); her sister-in-law Alba Capy (Ugo); and her sibling's children, Armand, Jamie, Patti, Gasper, Stephanie, Andrea, Anthony and Katrina.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the RVH Cancer Unit or to Hospice Simcoe.
