We announce the death of Peter Samuel Beer (Barrie, Ontario), who passed away on September 17, 2026, at the age of 72. Peter will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Douglas and Donelda Fern Beer of Oro-Medonte. He is survived by: his wife Eileen; his children, Sarah Beer Huter (Robert) of Mount St, Natalie Beer (Dwayne Espey) of Hillsdale, Luke (Melinda) of California and Marie; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Jacob, Lukas, Charley Grace, Tina, Brady, Chloe and Violet; his stepgrandsons, Chance and Reid; his siblings, Douglas (Diane), Jadeen Henderson (Robert), Eunice Johnstone (Terry), John, Robin, Jennifer LaVerdiere (Victor) and Glenn (Penny); Angela Staples of Sault Ste. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Oro Station Community Hall (31 Ridge Rd E, Oro-Medonte, ON L0L2E0).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
