He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Letwin and Helen Letwin; and his daughter Jeanette. He is survived by: his son Frank; his wife Margaret Soluk; his children, Michelle (Randy), Mario (Sandra), Charlene (Bruce), Steve (Lynn), Peter (Margaret) and John (Janine); his grandchildren, Steven (Jessica), Lindsay (Mitch), Erin (Kyle), Ashley (Dan), Keiran, Matthew, Justin (Shaughnessy), Sarah (Ben), Stephanie (Mike), Lorissa (Drew), Lyndon (Alyssa), Landen, Christopher, Jonathan, Alysha, Jacob (Sydney), Mitchell (Queenie) and Zachary; and his great grandchildren, Holden, Connor, Harper, Payton, Harrison, Samuel, Charles, Auston, Calloway, Palmer, Lucus, Valerie, Nathan, Olivia, Liam and Everett.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Adams Funeral Home (445 St Vincent St, Barrie, ON L4M6T5). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery (208 Sunnidale Rd, Barrie, ON L4N5N9).

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Peter may be made to the Diabetes Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, The Canadian Wildlife Federation.
