It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Philomena McCarthy (Barrie, Ontario), who passed away on May 16, 2026, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Though Philomena may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Philomena touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her mother Philomena Maria McCarthy (Philly). She is survived by: her children, Adam Purdon, Ross Purdon and Laura McCarthy.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Wickie's Pub (274 Burton Ave, Barrie, ON L4N5W4).
