He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Louise; his children, Kristine Irwin and David Irwin (Keri West); his parents, Osburne Irwin and Dorothy Irwin; his sister Jane Patterson (Peter); his nieces and nephews, Thomas and Eric (Madison); his great-nephew Oliver; and his siblings-in-law, Wayne (Jan), Marion (Dave) and Fred (Mardi). He was also cherished by his many students, colleagues, and friends.
