With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Schmunk (Barrie, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 6, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Reinhold Schmunk, Henry Schmunk, Karl Schmunk, Edward Schmunk, George Schmunk, Walter Schmunk, Leonard Schmunk and Irene Polupski; and his parents, Karl Schmunk and Marie Schmunk.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Schmunk; and his siblings, Elsie Stevenson and Harold Schmunk.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home (30 Worsley St, Barrie, ON L4M1L4). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home (30 Worsley St, Barrie, ON L4M1L4). A reception was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Greenwood Cemetery (27 Fourth Line E, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A5K8).
