It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruby Jean (Vaught) Bray (Barrie, Ontario), who passed away on November 20, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Larry Bray; her parents, Cecil Vaught and Mary Clemons; and her brother Cecil Lewis Vaught. She is survived by: her stepdaughters, Sharon Andrews (Tim) and Susan Billings; her sisters-in-law, Mary Scott Vaught, Lois McPherson (Bill) and Sandra Bray (late Len); her nephew Stephen Vaught (Sheila); her stepgrandchildren, Bradley MacPhail (Becca), Megan Buf (Chris), Tyler Billings (Cher) and Ryan Andrews; her stepgreat-grandchild Maeble; and her close friends, Denise Kirkman and Peggy Bradbury. She is also survived by friends and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home (445 St Vincent St, Barrie, ON L4M6T5). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Lung Association in Jean's memory.
