She is survived by: her husband Richard McCauley (Dick); her daughters, Brenda Patterson (Graham) and Cindy Bedford (Bryan); her grandchildren, Matthew Patterson (Dorothy), Jeffrey Patterson (Alana), Dorette Jackson (Scot) and Jason Bedford (Kelly); her great grandchildren, Ethan, Erica, Leyton, Jamie, Gwen, Owen and Alex; her brother Douglas Bondy; and her nieces, Kristin Austen (Jason) and Andrea Leili (Jason).

A donation in Shirley's name can be made to the Women & Children's Shelter of Barrie.
