He was predeceased by: his father Thomas Stoate; his stepfather George Eggleton; his mother Katherine Eggleton; and his grandson Thomas Mason Stoate. He is survived by: his wife Merlyn (Mert); his son Thomas (Tommy) Stoate (Hiedi); and his grandson David Stoate (Avery).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Paul's Anglican Church (45 Russell St W, Lindsay, ON K9V2W8). A reception was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
