She was loved and cherished by many people including: her significant other Walter Sokolowski; her children, Galen Sokolowski (Lise) and Lisa Long (Brammer); her grandchildren, Braden (Lauren), Richard, Danielle and Katrina; her great grandchild Clara; and her parents, Braden and Lauren.

A Reception will then take place at the Keg restaurant, 110 Concert Way Unit 1, Barrie.In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Verna to the Princess Margaret Cancer Center (https://supportthepmcf.ca) would be greatly appreciated by the family.
