She was predeceased by: her husband John King; her children, Michael King and Kathleen Kelly; her grandson Johnathan King (Charles Cook); her parents, Robert Higgins and Lila Higgins (Brydges); and her siblings, Jean Pattison (Roy), Margaret Higgins, Alvin (Verna) and Jeremiah Higgins (Marlene).
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Taylor Kelly of St. Thomas and Hunter Kelly New Hamburg; and her daughter-in-law Jeanne King of Stratford. She is also survived by nephews, neighbours and friends and her large extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the McBurney Funeral Home Chapel (35 Patrick St W, Wingham, ON N0G2W0). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Paul's Trinity Anglican Church in Wingham or the SPCA would be appreciated.
