He was predeceased by: his son Wayne Robert; his brothers, Paul Robert (late Germaine), Larry Robert (late Anne) and Henry Robert (Elsie); and his siblings-in-law, Leo Comartin (late Rena), Annette Lebert (late Donat) and Wilfred (late Lucille).
He is survived by: his wife Bernice; his daughter Elaine Chevalier (Mark Lesperance); his grandchildren, Candice Chevalier (Chelsea) and Chad Chevalier; his sisters, Annette Regnier and Jeannette Handsor (Bev); and his siblings-in-law, Marcel Comartin (late Juliette), Therese Glasier (Edward) and Gerald Comartin (Geraldine). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 1st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, March 2nd 2026 at 10:30 AM. A prayer was held on Sunday, March 1st 2026 at 6:30 PM at the Melady Funeral Home (572 Notre Dame St, Belle River, ON N8L1K8). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, March 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Simon and St. Jude Catholic Church (488 St Charles St, Belle River, ON N8L1K8).
