She was predeceased by: her husband Garnet MacCara; her parents, William Harvey Dresser and Freeda Muriel (Holt); and her siblings, Mervin (Eileen), Shirley (Allen), Keith (Josie), Bud and Elda (Bill).

She is survived by: her children, Allen (Sheila) and Ruth (Gennaro); her grandchildren, Anne (David), Jacob (Amanda), Victoria (Spencer), Matthew (Michelle), Emily (Richard) and Hope (Stephen); her great grandchild Briar; her sister Mary Lou; her sister-in-law Kit; and her caregiver London. She is also survived by family members and friends.
