He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo and Evelyn (Scaife); his in-laws, Réal and Blanche Comartin; and his siblings-in-law, Richard and Yvette.
He is survived by: his wife Monica Comartin (Monique); his sons, Mike (Bonnie Ford) and Mark (Jeannine); and his brothers-in-law, Roger (Sharon) and Leonard (Kathleen).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Melady Funeral Home (572 Notre Dame St, Belle River, ON N8L1K8). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Simon and St. Jude Catholic Church (488 St Charles St, Belle River, ON N8L1K8).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Erie Shores Hospice.
