He was predeceased by : his siblings, Raymond, Eugene Papineau and Anne Fisher. He is survived by : his wife Marie Papineau; his children, Diane Papineau (late Tom Konarski), Denise Stanton (Bob), Darlene Neveu (Mark), Ron Papineau (Monique) and Randy Papineau (Terri); and his grandchildren, Christine Konarski (Alexander), Paul Konarski, Mathieu Konarski (Julia), Michael Stanton, David Stanton (Jamie), Bobby Stanton, Andrew Neveu (Jen), Aaron Neveu (Krissa), Deanna Neveu (Brendan), Daniel Papineau (Lily), Emilie, Nolan and Sawyer Papineau.
