She was predeceased by : her parents, Gerrit Huizinga and Hendrika Huizinga. She is survived by : her husband Kenneth King; her children, Nancy Thomson, Stephanie, Coretta (Alec) and Carly (Chris); her siblings, Marianne (Brian), Andy (Elizabeth), Anita (Corey) and Gerrit (April); and her grandchildren, Allie, Monica, Colin and Rose. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 1st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rushnell Funeral Homes - Belleville (80 Highland Ave, Belleville, ON K8P3R4). A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Rushnell Funeral Home (80 Highland Ave, Belleville, ON K8P3R4).
