Brian Cooke Obituary
COOKE, Brian … Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Lennox and Addington General Hospital on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 in his 71st year. Brian was a cherished son of the late Robert and Jean Cooke and was born and raised in Stirling, Ontario. Beloved husband of Irene Cooke (nee Carver) for 46 beautiful years. Loving father of Jenn (Josh), Matt (Michelle), and Stephen (Allyson). Dear brother of Robert (Irene). Proud Grandpa of Gabby (Curtis), Reece, Jackson, Mason, Mya, Mason, Sutton and his little fur baby LuLu. Brian will be truly missed by his mother-in-law Mary Carver, brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Brian was at peace knowing that he would be reunited with open arms and embraced with love by his beloved granddaughter Mya and his sister-in-law Donna Andrews. He worked at union gas for 33 years and is loved by many of his co-workers. Brian loved spending time with his family in Sudbury, the island, and enjoyed time around the pool. He is remembered for his generous and giving nature, his fierce love and dedication to his children, supporting and encouraging them in all aspects of their lives. Brian was an active grandpa and babysitter extraordinaire. He had a close group of wonderful friends who were always doing things like breakfast club, curd runs, and fishing and hunting trips. He will leave a hole in the hearts of so many. Keeping with Brian’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
