He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Henry Philp and Maude Marguerite Philp; his siblings, Robert Warren Philp of Stirling and Gertrude Werry; his sister-in-law Muriel Jeffs (Harry); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jennifer, Bruce, Courtney, Shawn, Gabe, Kyle, Gerald, Carolyn, Jason, Caleb and Marcy.

He is survived by: his wife Helen; his stepchildren, Deborah Lynn Sherwood (David) of Broadway, Ashley Randall and Tuck of Belleville; his grandchildren, Justin Potts, Brittany Tuck and Lynnsea Sherwood; his great grandchild Paige Potts of Squamish, BC.; his siblings-in-law, Marlene Philp, Barbara Ashley Caterer (Ron), Franklin Stapley (Caroline) of Stirling and Bernard Ashley (Patricia) of Stirling; and his nieces and nephews, Bruce Philp (Linda), Steve Philp (Tammy), Kim McInroy (Gary) and Anne Thompson (late Allan).
