He was predeceased by: his parents, George D. Watson and Sarah A.; his wife Betty Watson; and his siblings, Bernice, Ollie, Vera (Be), Jim "James", Lorne and Glenn.

He is survived by: his son James "Jim" Watson (Susan "Sue"); his grandchildren, Matthew, Rebecca Peck (Matthew), Andrew (Kristina), Johnny and Sarah; and his great grandchildren, Hope and Norah.
