He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Mitts and Madeline Mitts; and his in-laws, Clarence and Ellen Kincaid. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Mitts (Kincaid); his children, Becky Mitts (Matt Cody) and Bryan Mitts (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Benjamin, Eloise, Weston, Wyatt and Morgan.

A reception was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gerry Masterson Community Centre (516 Harmony Rd, Corbyville, ON K0K1V0).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Belleville General Hospital Foundation (Diagnostic Imaging Department) online.
