He was predeceased by: his parents, James Simpson and Gladys Simpson; and his brother Douglas Simpson. He is survived by: his children, Lyndsie Apperley (Jon) and David (Susan); his grandchildren, Alexis, Tyler and James; and his sisters, Joan (Murray Jacklin) and Nancy (Chauncey Soderberg). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
