It is with sadness that the passing of Dorothy Grace Dickey (Belleville, Ontario) is shared. Dorothy, born on April 3, 1933, passed away on September 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Dorothy will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honour Dorothy by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Dorothy is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Dorothy’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her spouse J. Elwyn Dickey; her brother Clarence Stainton; and her parents, Velma Stainton and Milton Stainton. She is survived by: her daughter Velma Ketcheson (George) of Belleville; her grandchildren, Steve Ketcheson and Jennifer Ketcheson; and her sister-in-law Shirley Stainton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Steele Funeral Home (30 Moira St W, Belleville, ON K8P1S2). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Steele Funeral Home Family Centre (20 Moira St W, Belleville, ON K8P1S1).
If desired memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation or Belleville General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
