It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Macklam of Belleville, Ontario, who passed away on October 21, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Douglas leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Macklam and Anna Macklam; and his siblings, Ruth, Helen, Jean, Connie and Alec.
He is survived by: his wife Mary (Brown); his daughter Jill Macklam (Murray Gibb); his grandchildren, Alexandra Macklam (Chuck Drezin) and Devon Macklam; and his nephew Brent Siwicky (Beth).
