Elizabeth Jean Mater Obituary

In loving memory of Elizabeth Jean Mater (Belleville, Ontario), who departed this world on October 6, 2025 at the age of 88. Elizabeth leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carman Bell and Dorothy Bell; and her husband Lyle E. Mater. She is survived by: her children, Debi (Larry Sarginson), Dwight Mater, Shelley (late Peter Robertson), Lyle Mater, Lori Mater and Scott Mater (Sue); her grandchildren, Dora, Michael, Shawn, Jenny, Kyle, Veniesha, Cae, Jonathan, Melissa, Stephen and Mark; her great grandchildren, Kai, Cheyanne, Liam, Tyson, Jase, Keely, Aiden, Sebastian, Blake, Dallas, Morgan and Eli; and her siblings, John Bell (Muriel) and Joyce Ferguson (late John). She is also survived by her many family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Westminster United Church (1199 Wallbridge Loyalist Rd, Belleville, ON K8N4Z5). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
