He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Melissa; and his brother Boyd. He is survived by: his wife Dorrie; his children, Robert Beer (Brenda) of Grand Cache, AB., Edna Meeks (TimWillcocks) of Ottawa and Connie Bruce of Belleville; his grandchildren, Courtney, Jennifer and Kaitlyn; his great grandchildren, Martin, Evelyn, Lucas, Silas, Deacon, Kayden and Kaylee; his sisters, Noreen English, Carel Laundry and Shirley Stewart (Jim); and his son-in-law Bert Meeks of Perth.

Donations to the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
