He was predeceased by: his mother Violet Gill; and his son Michael Duffy. He is survived by: his wife Connie Gill; his daughter Melissa Gill (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Caden, Isaac and Violet; and his siblings, Chris Orr (Maureen), Linda Orr (Nolan), Lynda Masters (Lynard) and Doreen Clossen.
