He is survived by: his wife Vera; his daughters, Jane (Eric) and Sarah (Andrew); his grandchildren, Erik Jakobsen (Cassie), Sofia, Lindsay, Grace, Victoria and Emily; his great grandchild Lane; and his nieces and nephews, Wales and Spain.

Gord was a huge advocate of organ and full body donation to assist others and to advance medical science.
