He was predeceased by : his parents, James Ayres and Reba Ayres (Peterson); and his siblings, Gwendolyn, Patricia, Glenda and Jim.

He is survived by : his sisters, Carol and Chris; his girlfriend Lorie Dodge; his children, Grant Ayres (Nathalie), Lesley Gibson (Mike), Jamie Brush and Kevin Ayres; his grandchildren, Gabrielle, Stephanie, James, Cailea, Ava, Marieve, Faith, Luke and Brielle; and his pet Grenny.

Flowers are gratefully declined but donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Sick Kids Hospital are appreciated.
