He was predeceased by: his son Darrell Spence; his grandson Andy Eves; and his great grandchild Emily Teeple. He is survived by: his children, David Spence (Shelley) and Bernice Eves (late James); his grandchildren, Tina Teeple (Randy), Brandon (Laurel) and Kyle Spence (Stephanie); his great grandchildren, Joel Teeple, Lindsay, Helena and Tobin Spence; his stepsons, Dr. Samuel (Kim) and Dr. Eric (Jackie); his siblings, Lorne (Ann), Marguerite and Sandra Spence; and his friend Anglican Church.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the St. Thomas Anglican Church (201 Church St, Belleville, ON K8N1M1). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at the Christ Church Cemetery (104 15th Line Rd, Gananoque, ON K7G3C7).
