She was predeceased by: her parents, John Armstrong and Margaret Armstrong; her husband Edward Carter (Ted); her children, Patti Phillips and Bruce Carter; and her siblings, Robert, Helen, Audrey, Aileen, Pat, Francis and Hubert Armstrong.

She is survived by: her children, Edward Carter Jr. (Ted) of Kingston, Lori Brown of Belleville, Dan Carter (Lisa) of Wellington, Bryan Carter of Trenton, Margie Crowe (Tom) of Perth, Marcia Carter (Frank) of Peterborough, Chris Carter of Victoria, B. C. and Karen O'Rourke of Belleville; and her grandchildren, Nikki, Steve, Dan, Jessica, Cassandra, Michelle, Jennifer, James, Tyler, Travis, TaraLee, Ashton, Shannon, Justin, Megan, Sarah, Samuel and Brianna. She is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
