He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Potts and Nora Potts; and his siblings, Bob Potts (late Mary), Barb Somerville (late Bill) and Tony Potts.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Potts; his children, Ronald Potts (Terri), Gary Potts (Mary), David Potts (Sandy) and Kim Fryer (Rob); and his great grandchildren, Charles, Heather, Emily, Rebecca and Kasey.
