He was predeceased by: his parents, Johan Brak and Neeltje Brak; and his sibling Edith Hovestadt. He is survived by: his spouse Wilma Brak; his children, Steve Brak (Gina), Heather Vandervelde (David), Virginia Wheatley (Andrew), Joe Brak (Lisa), Neil Brak and Jordan Brak; his grandchildren, Jake, Hannah, Rebekah, Alicia (Josh), Caitlin, Kylie, Madilyn, Kennedy, Carter, Cadence, Alaina, Adrianna, Johan and Fern; his siblings, Margaret McCue (Dave), Judy Dejong (late Ted), Martin Brak and Erica Brak; and his siblings-in-law, Henry Heideman (Marybelle), Christine Wolters (Jerry), John Heideman, Bill Heideman (Wilma), Elisabeth Calvert (Randy) and Ed Heideman (Dianne). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
