He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret McEwen and Don McEwen; his daughter Wendy; and his brothers, Gerald and Ken.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy McEwen, John McEwen (Christine) and James Bell (Lorrie); his grandchildren, Olivia, Ava, Madelyn, Macey, Lily, Sophie, Mack and Nicole; his siblings, Donald (Gwen), Hugh (Shirley), Barbara Munroe (late Doug), Catherine Parks (Gordon) and Ida Laing (Richard); and his sister-in-law Caryne.
