It is with sadness that the passing of Karen Margaret Holtz (Belleville, Ontario) is shared. Karen, born on February 18, 1945, passed away on October 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Karen will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honour Karen by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Karen is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Karen’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Brownson and Margaret Brownson; her stepson John Havelock; and her brother Donald Brownson. She is survived by: her husband Harold Holtz of Belleville; her daughter Jennifer Stephens (Kristian); her grandsons, Troy and Dylan Havelock; and her siblings, Brian Brownson (Diane) and Diane Gawley (Larry). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Steele Funeral Home (30 Moira St W, Belleville, ON K8P1S2). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph's Church (399 Victoria Ave, Belleville, ON K8N2E7).
